Amanda N. Scott has taught writing, literature, and humanities at Utah Tech University since 2008. Her research interests include gender studies, British literature, art history/ visual culture, and digital humanities for new media. She recently contributed a book chapter, “Frankenstein, Scientism, and the Cultural Reception of Discovery” to Lab Lit: Exploring Literary and Cultural Representations of Science (2019). Amanda is conducting ongoing research on Utah women in leadership roles, as well as research on the influence of women in Utah history. In the creative realm, she is currently writing her first poetry collection, which is centered on the modern-day hauntings of Mormon polygamy. Amanda has also worked as a technical writer in the business sector and has written new media marketing materials for many big brands such as Amazon, LG Electronics, and Walmart.
