Sean M. George

Dr. Sean George is a Professor of English at Utah Tech University, where he teaches courses in composition, rhetoric, and American literature. His classes focus on critical thinking, rhetorical awareness, and the writing process, encouraging students to view writing as both an academic and practical skill. Dr. George is particularly interested in how digital tools and technologies affect communication and learning, and he incorporates these perspectives into his teaching and curriculum development.

With over ten years of experience in higher education, Dr. George is dedicated to creating inclusive, student-focused learning environments that build confidence and curiosity in writers of all skill levels. His academic interests include writing pedagogy, digital literacy, and how technology impacts higher education.

Dr. George believes that writing is a process of discovery—a way for students to explore ideas, clarify thoughts, and engage meaningfully with the world around them. He aims to foster classrooms where reflection, revision, and open dialogue lead to lasting growth as thinkers and communicators.
